Dr. Amanda Laird joined Charlotte Surgical Group in 2005.  A native of Louisiana, Dr. Laird attended medical school at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport, Louisiana.  She completed her surgical residency at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  Dr. Laird has interest in Breast surgery, Intestinal surgery, and surgery of the Endocrine glands. 

Dr. Laird is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery, and a Diplomat of the American College of Surgeons.  She is also a member of the North Carolina Medical Society.

Dr. Laird enjoys the full spectrum of General Surgery, including Laparoscopy and Surgical Oncology.  Dr. Laird has special interest in treating Breast Cancer.  She has specialized training in the Sentinel Node Biopsy technique and the Mammosite breast radiation device.  She enjoys the interdisciplinary approach to modern cancer care, involving the coordinated efforts of surgeons, medical oncologists and radiation oncologists to fulfill the needs of the individual cancer patient.

Dr. Laird is Board Certified.
